He stressed that it takes time to provide vaccines to a large number of people. As a result, the change in the situation with Covid-19 will not happen until 2022-2023. The expert added that Sputnik V is capable of helping to defeat the coronavirus. The Russian vaccine is in no way inferior to Western counterparts. “From the point of view of the availability and effectiveness of the Russian vaccine, it has no equal. The drug should play a very important role in relation to the coronavirus pandemic,”Bespalov said. To date, about 40 countries have registered the Russian vaccine, and in the near future an active vaccine prevention campaign will begin in them.
