Nikolay Bespalov, director of development at RNC Pharma, an expert on the pharmaceutical market, said about the role of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in the victory over coronavirus infection around the world. This was reported by the Nation News.
Earlier, the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, said that humanity will return to normal life no earlier than 2022. Nikolai Bespalov agreed with his opinion. He noted that until the end of December this year, one should not expect dramatic improvements in the situation with the incidence of COVID-19 on a global scale.
- Of course, some countries will achieve success this year in terms of disease prevention and vaccine use. But most regions of the world from among those who are not able to develop the drug on their own will receive it in the next two or three years, the expert explained.
He clarified that this time will be required in order to provide the required volume of a sufficient number of people. In his opinion, there will be no turning point until 2022–2023. However, he noted that the Russian drug "Sputnik V" will help to overcome the new infection. This vaccine is in no way inferior to Western counterparts, and in some cases even surpasses them, says Nikolai Bespalov.
