Experts around the world are still arguing when it is better to drink coffee and how much it can be consumed per day. Due to the modern pace of life, fatigue and slowness, this drink has become popular among people. But coffee can harm health, and caffeine is addictive, said Natalya Kruglova, a nutritionist at the National Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists of Russia, in a conversation with PolitRussia.
"There are people who have a more pronounced reaction to caffeine, they do not tolerate it very well - they immediately notice that after a cup of coffee, a rapid heart rate, feelings of anxiety and excitement may appear. For such people, pure coffee and caffeinated drinks will not be shown on a regular basis. If a person has a usual susceptibility to caffeine, then, in general, he can drink it ", - assured the specialist.
Caffeine has a stimulating effect, activates the central nervous system and the brain, so it is better to drink it in the morning. Those who feast on them in the afternoon are sleep deprived and there is no good rest.
If a person is healthy, then the drink can be in the daily diet, notes Kruglova. The daily intake of coffee is 200-300 mg (two standard cups of about 200 ml of regular coffee). Tea also contains caffeine, so a couple of cups will be fine too. But coffee drinks have different caffeine content, so it's worth paying attention to, the nutritionist said.
