- Even minor injuries can lead to death. If you have damaged a major artery, you have a few minutes to live. This is serious. Arterial bleeding must be stopped by applying a tourniquet above the wound so that the blood stops flowing. It is important to remember that the tourniquet cannot be kept in one place for more than two hours: paralysis of the limb may occur, '' Myasnikov explained.
The doctor noted that most often people cut their fingers. This is a household trauma. There is a quickest way to stop the blood.
- What do we usually do? We wash the wound and bandage. The simplest advice: if you cut your finger, just raise your hand up and hold it. After a few seconds, blood will stop flowing even from a severe cut. Tested on myself many times. Then the finger can be bandaged so that the bandage does not slip, - said the doctor.
