S.-PETERSBURG, February 10 - RIA Novosti. The death of a 40-year-old resident of the village of Kem in Karelia from pneumonia is associated with hypothermia, and not with the COVID-19 vaccine, which he was given five days before, the press service of the republic's health ministry told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, in one of the groups on the VKontakte social network, a message appeared about the death of a resident of the Perm Territory with a comment that he had been vaccinated against coronavirus five days earlier.
"Experts do not associate the development of pneumonia and the death of the patient with vaccination, there is a fact of hypothermia after vaccination. Clarifying virological studies are being carried out. Data for coronavirus infection has not been received at present," the Ministry of Health said.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, all those vaccinated against coronavirus infection are issued a reminder on how to behave after vaccination. "Among the recommendations: avoid stress, hypothermia, and so on. There is a confirmed fact that hypothermia in this case took place," added the press service of the Ministry of Health.
The department emphasized that the vaccine does not contain live pathogenic viruses and cannot cause the development of the disease, but immunity does not develop instantly after vaccination, therefore it is very important to take care and follow the recommendations of doctors after vaccination.
