Doctor and TV presenter Alexander Myasnikov named the main mistakes in the treatment of coronavirus in an interview with Tsargrad TV channel.
According to him, the main mistake in treatment is taking antibiotics. The specialist noted that it is also important to take only those drugs that the doctor prescribes after the examination. The doctor explained that COVID-19 causes several diseases at once - coronavirus acute respiratory infections and coronavirus pneumonia. They are treated with different drugs, so the wrong drugs can make the disease worse.
Another mistake many Russians make is the use of antiviral and immunomodulatory drugs, Myasnikov explained. He noted that most of them are "dummy pills".
The doctor concluded that now all hope is only for vaccination. In addition, there is a recommendation for taking vitamin D, however, not because it helps protect against coronavirus, but because its lack leads to a more severe course of the disease.
Earlier, Myasnikov named the main mistakes that were made in 2020 in connection with the spread of the coronavirus. He called the first mistake that the world ignored all warnings about a possible global epidemic. The next mistake was that humanity "took a viral infection and raised it to the rank of especially dangerous."
