The former president of the USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev, bears personal responsibility for what happened to the country, that is, for its collapse. This statement was made on March 2, on the day of the 90th anniversary of the ex-head of state, by the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

He recalled that 30 years have passed since the collapse of the Soviet Union, and urged "not to powder the heads of the people." According to the politician, it was Gorbachev who was to blame for everything that happened to the USSR. Therefore, according to Zhirinovsky, the hero of the day was both the president and the head of the CPSU.

However, the leader of the Liberal Democrats in the State Duma is ready to accuse Gorbachev not only of the collapse of the Union. Also, as Zhirinovsky stressed, the entire team of the ex-president, all the "Bolsheviks of the CPSU", "district committees", "regional committees" and "everyone who was in uniform" is to blame for this.

Didn't they see where everything was going? Kryuchkov warned the Congress of People's Deputies of the USSR back in June. And what are they doing? They listened, clapped and dispersed. Whom did you elect as deputies, who entered your CPSU? Cowardly, sick people, careerists, opportunists, dependents. Therefore, of course, his personal responsibility, - said Zhirinovsky on the air of the radio station "Moscow speaking".

As NEWS.ru previously reported, on the same day the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia wrote in his Telegram channel that after 30 years it is easy to throw everything on a weak 90-year-old man, stating that he is the only one to blame. The politician wondered why they do not remember those who brought Gorbachev to power.
