The situation in Ukraine is such that there are no laboratories in the country that would investigate the quality of the coronavirus vaccines being developed. Ukrainian heart surgeon Boris Todurov told about this in an interview with the Strana.ua portal.
“Their [laboratories] have been destroyed over the past years. As for some African republic, they say, you will receive what we tell you, and inject into your body what we tell you,”Todurov lamented, specifying that he could not say anything about the Russian vaccine.
The surgeon also stressed that he considers the Russian school of virology to be very strong, because it was thanks to her that the Ebola virus was defeated. In addition, since the days of the USSR, Moscow has provided the Union republics with effective drugs, which at that time were not imported from abroad.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said that there was no talk of purchasing a Russian vaccine yet. The country's authorities, he said, cannot use it because it has not passed the third stage of clinical trials.
