Nizhny Novgorod restaurants and cafes on New Year's Eve after 19 o'clock will be able to work only for take-out. Governor Gleb Nikitin signed the relevant amendments to the decree on high alert.

They will only be affected by the ban on the sale and consumption of alcohol at the specified time. Nizhny Novgorod cafes and restaurants will be able to open at 8 am on January 1.
Also, from 19:00 on December 31, all baths and saunas should be closed for visitors. The text of the changes is published on the website of the regional government.
- We often say that New Year is a family holiday. This time it is especially important to meet him in the circle of the closest people. We discussed the format of work of cafes and restaurants with sanitary doctors at a meeting of the regional coordination headquarters. Taking into account the epidemiological situation, it was this option of restrictions that was recognized as optimal, - the governor explained.
Also, changes in the decree on the high alert mode will affect the work of ice rinks and ski complexes. Their goal is to prevent crowds of people in recreation areas during the New Year holidays. The open skating rink will be able to accommodate visitors at the rate of no more than 1 person per 20 square meters, on the indoor skating rink - no more than 1 person per 30 square meters, maximum - 25 people at a time.
