He recalled that about a hundred people die from the coronavirus every day in the country. According to him, a number of high-ranking officials in such an epidemiological situation criticize his decision, taken jointly with the country's Ministry of Health, to purchase drugs. "Because they (the doses of the Sputnik V vaccine. - Gazeta. Ru) are allegedly incorrect - they come from Russia," Matovich wrote. The prime minister expressed the opinion that for such politicians "it is appropriate for as many people to die in the country and to suffer damage to the economy." He added that their motto is "the worse in Slovakia, the better for their unsuccessful parties, which really want to rule." Earlier, the President of Slovakia expressed dissatisfaction with the approval of Sputnik V in the country. The Russian Federation was the first country in the world to register a vaccine against COVID-19. The drug was developed by NITsEM named after Gamaleya in cooperation with the Russian Direct Investment Fund. It was named "Sputnik V".
