This was reported by the press service of the government of Kazakhstan on Tuesday following the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Yeraly Tugzhanov to the KFK.
"In accordance with the instructions of the head of state, the task of establishing industrial production of the vaccine on the basis of the domestic pharmaceutical complex was completed as soon as possible. Today, 90 thousand doses of the Gam-covid-vac vaccine (Sputnik V - TASS) will be shipped to all regions of Kazakhstan. In March 2021, it is planned to produce 150 thousand doses, and from April the volumes will be increased to 600 thousand doses. Thus, our population will be systematically provided with the COVID-19 vaccine in sufficient quantities, "Tugzhanov said.
According to the press service, within the framework of the agreement of understanding concluded between the Kazakh enterprise SK-Pharmacia and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), it is planned to supply more than 2 million doses of vaccine with the possibility of increasing up to 5 million doses after passing all stages of drug testing. …

On February 15, the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan issued a registration certificate for the Sputnik V vaccine produced on the basis of KFK. The first batch of the drug passed quality control at the Gamaleya Center.
On February 1, Kazakhstan began vaccinating the population against coronavirus infection using the Sputnik V vaccine, which was produced in Russia. From the second quarter of this year, they intend to connect the Kazakhstan-made QazCovid-in vaccine to the vaccination process of the population, which is currently undergoing the third phase of clinical trials.
