The son of the artist Nikas Safronov, pianist Luka Safronov-Zatravkin appreciated the idea of LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who proposed introducing a weight limit for Russians. This is reported by REN TV. “He apparently understands from his own experience that his extra weight is probably burdensome on the shoulders of the state,” he commented on the parliamentarian’s idea. The pianist, whose weight is 250 kg, also expressed the opinion that there is common sense in the idea of the politician. However, according to Safronov-Zatravkin, it is necessary to follow the path of assistance, not restrictions. He pointed out that in Japan there are special ministries that deal with the excess weight of the population and at the same time try to stimulate in every possible way. "They do not fine, of course, but if you are in good physical shape, then you pay less insurance, get some benefits. And if you are overweight, then you are sent free of charge to yoga courses, additional massage, pay for stomach resection," - said Safronov-Zatravkin. Earlier, LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky proposed setting the maximum weight for citizens at 80 kg, and for officials at 100 kg.
