The expert noted that the seasonal factor does not affect the dynamics of the epidemic process. India and Brazil are two striking examples of this. "The virus is transmitted directly from an infected person to a healthy person through close contact, talking, sneezing, coughing, so this is an all-season disease, I think so," Butenko explained on Sputnik radio.
At the same time, the specialist recalled the need to adhere to sanitary protection measures - do not forget about the masks. The reduction in the number of cases of coronavirus in the country is not a reason to ignore these rules, the virologist emphasized. Developing protection, both after infection and after vaccination, will help keep the spread of the disease. The number of people with immunity should reach 60-70% in each of the regions.
