Nutritionist Elena Solomatina listed foods, overeating of which can result in intestinal rupture. We are talking about products with a composition rich in tannins and large fibers.
Food that contains tannins and large fibers provoke the formation of bezoars in the body. They are foreign bodies formed from indigestible particles. Bezoars are able to expand the intestines. In addition, they can accumulate in the body and require surgery to remove them.
“In theory, overeating such foods as quince, celery, cabbage, radish, and blackthorn can lead to similar problems. In general, products with a high amount of tannins and coarse fibers”, - said Solomatina. The doctor noted that such an outcome can only occur with the abuse of these products.
