In Lithuania, a man died a few minutes after being vaccinated against the coronavirus. On Saturday, February 27, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the Lithuanian Medicines Control Service (LSCL), a 77-year-old citizen of the country turned out to be dead. The man's clinical death occurred a few minutes after vaccination. Doctors tried to resuscitate the patient, but they could not save him.
“LSCL has received data that suggest that vaccination was not the cause of death. But, since the death occurred a few minutes after the vaccination, the service recorded this case as another message about an undesirable effect,”the head of the service, Gytis Andriulenis, explained in an interview with journalists.
He also clarified that the deceased suffered from problems with the heart and circulatory system.
At the end of January, it became known that in the hospital of the Lithuanian city of Marijampole, the patient was accidentally injected with five doses of the coronavirus vaccine. At the same time, the director of the medical institution assured that "nothing bad happened to the woman."
