According to her, in order to remove the restrictive measures existing in the country, it is necessary that 60% of the population have immunity. She stated that in Russia, herd immunity may be formed as early as August 2021. However, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that such indicators can be achieved if the campaign to vaccinate the population against COVID-19 continues with the already gained pace. At the same time, Golikova did not rule out that the formation of herd immunity in Russians could happen faster if the pace of vaccination is accelerated. More than 4.2 million people with COVID-19 have been identified in Russia. The Russian Federation was the first country in the world to register a vaccine against COVID-19.
