The Russian Ministry of Health spoke about the viability of the coronavirus in a different environment. The properties of SARS-CoV-2 are mentioned in the new version of the interim guidelines of the ministry for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
So, at a room temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius, the coronavirus can remain viable on various objects for up to three days. In a liquid medium, the virus can remain viable for up to 7 days. In addition, it remains stable over a wide pH range (up to 6 days at pH 5 to 9 and up to 2 days at pH4 and pH11).
At a temperature of plus 4 degrees Celsius, the virus remains stable for more than 14 days. When the ambient temperature rises to 37 degrees, the virus is inactivated within one day, at 56 degrees - within 45 minutes, at 70 degrees - within five minutes.
The document also says that the virus is sensitive to ultraviolet radiation with a dose of at least 25 mJ / cm2 and the action of various disinfectants at a working concentration.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health has reduced the number of drugs that can be prescribed for the treatment of coronavirus in adults. The new list of drugs includes favipiravir, remdesivir, hydroxychloroquine, recombinant interferon alpha (IFN-α) and umifenovir. At the same time, azithromycin was removed from it. Moreover, for the treatment of pregnant women, it is allowed to use only recombinant IFN-α2b.
