Immunity in people who have had coronavirus in the first wave may be reduced by summer, so they should be vaccinated against COVID-19. This was told by the infectious disease doctor Evgeny Timakov.
"Vaccination is shown to everyone who was ill in the first wave in a mild form or asymptomatic. More than a year after quarantine, their immunity will already be significantly reduced, and the vaccine will help protect the body," the expert quotes RIA Novosti.
Earlier, experts explained that before vaccination, an examination and a conversation with a doctor are required - he gives admission to vaccination, taking into account the patient's history. It is obligatory to measure the temperature: if it is above 37 ° C, the vaccine is not given. After the injection, the patient must stay in the medical facility for 20-30 minutes to get help if an allergic reaction suddenly occurs.
After the procedure, you should be equally attentive to your health issues. Antibodies that protect against infection begin to form two weeks after the first vaccination, and the maximum level is reached one week after the second dose, that is, 28 days after the first vaccination. All this time you need to be careful - wear a mask, avoid crowded places, minimize contacts.
Recall that mass vaccination against coronavirus infection in Russia began on January 18. In December last year, a large-scale campaign was launched in the country, which allowed certain categories of citizens to get vaccinated. Priority in vaccination against COVID-19 was then given to doctors, teachers and social workers, as well as citizens living in social service organizations and people with chronic diseases.
