The nutritionist recommended arranging fasting days during the New Year holidays. This was reported to the Moscow City News Agency by the head of the Consultative and Diagnostic Center "Healthy and Sports Nutrition" of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Federal Research Center of Nutrition and Biotechnology", Candidate of Medical Sciences Ekaterina Burlyaeva.
“We can recommend arranging fasting days for yourself between holidays. This should not be a fast or a fasting day on kefir, the calorie content should be about 600-800 kcal and always with limited physical activity. You can make, for example, a cottage cheese fasting day, when a person consumes 4-5% fat cottage cheese with tea three to four times a day. But about any fasting days, you should first consult with your doctor,”said E. Burlyaeva.
She also reminded that fasting days should not coincide with evening feasts.
“But you need to remember that if a feast is planned in the evening, then there is no need to start a fasting day - this will only be harmful and may aggravate weight gain. It is necessary to allocate a full day to unload the body,”said E. Burlyaeva.
