The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the widespread "closed" report of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), dedicated to the results of research on biomaterials by Alexei Navalny. They were selected by OPCW specialists back in September at the Charité clinic.
On Smolenskaya Square, they noted that the report was circulated at the suggestion of Berlin and that the German side insisted on the removal of key data from it.
"At the request of the FRG, key information regarding the names, chemical composition and characteristics of the substances in question has been removed from the report. According to the German side, the purpose of concealing this information is to prevent the dissemination of information about substances not included in the Annex on Chemicals to the Chemical Weapons Convention," - said in a statement posted on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the above argumentation is "purely formal" and serves only as a justification for the refusal on the part of the FRG authorities to respond to numerous inquiries from Russian law enforcement agencies. The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasizes that without these data, it is not possible to complete the pre-investigation check provided for by Russian law.
"The absence of this information testifies that the allegations of the allegedly" deliberate poisoning "of the blogger remain unsupported by any evidence base of inferences," the Russian Foreign Ministry concluded.
