British nutritionist Amanda Kallenberg has pointed out an easy way to beat a hangover. In an interview with The Mirror, she said that alcohol, having a diuretic effect, relieves the human body of fluids.
The physician added that due to dehydration, the body cannot break down the toxins received with alcohol. As noted by the specialist, it is necessary to drink plenty of water, before, during and the next day after drinking alcohol, in order to prevent a hangover in the morning.
"Try to have a glass of water between drinks and at least one large glass of water before bed," Kallenberg said.
She also noted the important role of proper nutrition before and after the feast. According to the doctor, before drinking alcohol, it will slow down the absorption of alcohol.
Plus, having the right breakfast, like a smoothie packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, with added bananas, spinach and honey, will help flush toxins from the body, Kallenberg added.
