On Wednesday, January 20, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the completion of vaccination against coronavirus of the personnel of the Omsk missile army of the Strategic Missile Forces. A total of about 3 thousand soldiers and officers were vaccinated against a dangerous infection.
"The servicemen of the Irkutsk, Barnaul and Novosibirsk missile formations, as well as the duty forces of the Omsk missile association, have been introduced to the second component of the vaccine," the department noted. They added that, first of all, the drug was received by medical workers, command personnel and those who are on combat duty or are on duty for missile divisions and regiments.
"During the vaccination of the first and second components of the vaccine, there were no cases of complications or intolerance to the vaccine," the Department of Information and Mass Communications said.
The Ministry of Defense told how the process of voluntary vaccination was organized in the army and navy. Before the injection, the servicemen are informed that after the vaccination for five days it is not recommended to go in for sports intensively and do heavy physical exertion. The vaccination itself is preceded by a mandatory medical examination by a doctor.
As elsewhere, in the army, vaccination against coronavirus is carried out in two stages with an interval of 21 days. After the injection, each serviceman is issued a special certificate, where, in addition to personal data, the date of inoculation and the name of the drug that was administered to the person are indicated.
Recall that, according to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, 400 thousand servicemen will be vaccinated against coronavirus in the Armed Forces.
