An airplane with new doses of Russian vaccine has landed in Buenos Aires, RIA Novosti reports, citing a broadcast conducted by the Argentinean presidential administration.
The first 300,000 doses arrived in Argentina at the end of December. This plane brought 300 thousand doses of the second component of the vaccine. They will be used to vaccinate doctors and intensive care workers.
Earlier it became known that the government of Argentina purchased 30 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine from RDIF.
We will remind, on December 10, 2020, Buenos Aires signed a contract with Moscow for the supply of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection. On December 23, the Argentine Ministry of Health issued a permit for the emergency use of the Sputnik V vaccine. The first batch of the first component in the amount of 300 thousand doses was delivered to the Republic of South America on December 24. President of the country Alberto Fernandez thanked Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the creators of the Sputnik V vaccine against the new coronavirus for supplying the drug to the South American republic.
