MOSCOW, February 20. / TASS /. The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova does not exclude new Russophobic statements and actions in the West against the background of registration in the Russian Federation of the third vaccine against coronavirus and recognition in the world of already available domestic drugs.

“As for the Western anti-Russian position, I think in the coming days we will witness some more rather strong Russophobic statements or actions, for one simple reason: the third [Russian] vaccine has appeared. And almost every day another country appears, which has registered our vaccine. There are news about the start of production, the launch of our technologies in this area in any other country, about the beginning of vaccination, and so on, "she said on the YouTube channel" Soloviev Live ".

“What do you want? Those who have achievements, they always cause, unfortunately, those who cannot block these achievements with something else the same, envy and corresponding negative emotions,” the diplomat added.

Moscow has repeatedly characterized the information campaign around drugs for the prevention of coronavirus as a "war of vaccines." At the same time, Russian diplomats emphasized that the Russian Federation is not interested in such an information conflict, but calls for cooperation to save lives of people around the world.

On February 20, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the registration of the third domestic vaccine against coronavirus - Kovivak. It was developed by the Chumakov Federal Research and Development Center for Immunobiological Preparations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a subordinate institution of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the first Russian vaccine against coronavirus, Sputnik V, has already been registered in more than 30 countries around the world.
