A physical education teacher from the Australian city of Gold Coast, Queensland, called an unobvious and easy way to lose weight - to organize kitchen cabinets with food correctly. Her words are quoted by the Daily Mail.

Belind Norton, a 43-year-old teacher, says her eating habits and health have improved since cleaning up the kitchen. “We look into cupboards up to 50 times a day,” she notes. "These actions affect our eyes and stomach - just like advertising does."

Norton emphasizes that ordering the kitchen is much more effective and faster in helping to lose weight than sports or dieting. She recommends arranging food on the shelves in the following way: display what is most useful and commonly used in cooking, such as nuts, chia seeds, and spices, in a prominent place. On the lower shelves, she removes foods that are less often needed - grains, legumes and pasta.

“My biggest secret is to keep organic food at eye level,” says the Australian. "When you fill your shelves with such products, you are more likely to make the right choice."

Thus, Norton always has on hand products useful for weight loss: instant oatmeal, hemp, sunflower and pumpkin seeds (additives for salads), rice syrup, almonds, cocoa powder and coconut oil.

She keeps healthy snacks for children on the lower shelves to make it easier for them to have a snack without waiting for their parents. “Keeping closets tidy is so important to your health and well-being,” says Norton. “It helps us buy only what we need and saves money. It also helps make the right decisions and saves time when preparing food.”

Earlier, a nutritionist from Australia revealed six secrets to losing weight and maintaining the desired weight. She advises against trying to eat stress, eating salad or vegetables, and cutting back on convenience foods. She also recommends moving more, drinking water before and during meals, and eating thoughtfully.
