MOSCOW, Dec 24 - PRIME. The decision on whether or not to be vaccinated against coronavirus must be made following certain rules, Nikolai Kryuchkov, an immunologist, candidate of medical sciences, general director of the company for registration and research of drugs, Clinical Excellence Goop, told Sputnik radio in an interview.
According to him, the first and main criterion is whether there are any contraindications against the drug.
"The first thing to understand: while there are two registered drugs, there are approved instructions for their use in the public domain. You can familiarize yourself with the sections" Contraindications "and" With caution "on the Internet, see if you have any contraindications or any factors that complicate vaccination for you personally, "- said Kryuchkov.
Important criteria for vaccination are a large number of contacts with strangers and the elderly, for example, in the course of professional activities. We are talking about work in trade, housing and communal services, police, health care, education.
As Kryuchkov noted, in order for the vaccine to be enough for everyone, it is necessary to increase production volumes, and this problem must be removed within six months. Also, by the spring-summer, new types of vaccines may appear, which will be easier to produce.
“These new vaccines, about which we still know practically nothing, can just compensate for the lack of production of the first leading vaccines. Most likely, one or two new products will appear on the Russian market, which can be produced in a much larger volume - dozens millions of doses per month. Somewhere from summer, from spring, they will play an important role in the overall vaccination program, "Kryuchkov said.
The doctor noted that in Russia, vaccination will begin to affect the epidemiological situation not earlier than September next year, and before that, anti-epidemic measures will remain the most important.
