During the New Year holidays, the most difficult test is not to be lazy, to eat your favorite meals in moderation and not to miss workouts. Personal trainer of the Global Fitness club Yulia Pogotskaya (Minsk) shared tips on how to organize a weekend so as not to harm your figure.

during the holidays, you do not want to go to the gym, do some simple exercises at home. A simple aerobic workout or pool session never hurts. Start by stretching, then do the exercises for 20-25 repetitions without interruption. Depending on your training, set the pace and number of circles: squats, lunges alternately in place, glute bridge from the floor, swings in the plank position, push-ups from the floor, twisting plank pose. This workout will take no more than 20 minutes.

Organize your meals correctly

If you are afraid to break loose and eat too much at the New Year's table, eat in advance at home. And on a holiday, do not pounce on everything, choose 1-2 dishes from the presented and allow yourself to them. At the table, try to eat as much fiber as possible. This will allow the body to lower its blood sugar levels, and as a result, it is more likely to give up heavy meals and desserts.

Avoid fat and sodium (salt). They are found in huge quantities in all snacks (cheese, meat, caviar), canned food, salad dressings.

Choose the right alcohol

Strong drinks contain a lot of sugar. Brut champagne will be less high in calories, followed by red and white wine. Try to give preference to them, but do not overdo it: 1-2 glasses of champagne or wine will be more than enough. And keep in mind that alcohol, along with all the delights of the festive table, is the most dangerous option for a figure. After a feast and overeating, unload your body and arrange a detox day on kefir.
