MOSCOW, February 20. / TASS /. The chief physician of the 52 hospital in Moscow, Maryana Lysenko, believes that vaccination against various infections must be made mandatory in order to protect others.
"But vaccination, in my opinion, absolutely should be. So scary, people just do not see it, do not understand, it seems to them that it is somewhere far away, but in fact it can be with everyone, so we are all for ourselves, my colleagues, they decided this story in the direction of involuntary (vaccination) ", - said Lysenko on the air of the TV channel" Russia-24 "on Saturday.
She noted that there are those people who consider vaccination a disaster. "It seems to me that this is from some kind of illiteracy. It's just fashionable to think so, that's all. And, as a rule, there are no arguments, I think so," the doctor said.
Lysenko also reiterated that wearing masks really helps slow the spread of infections. The number of seasonal illnesses has also decreased compared to other periods, although doctors feared in 2020 a "mix" of flu and coronavirus.
"I believe that when the epidemiological situation repeats itself in our country a couple of times a year, then this story is necessary (wearing masks). A couple of times a year you can walk around in a mask. One of the lessons of the coronavirus is to look around and take care of people from not only your environment.", - concluded the head physician.
