The Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko on March 3 at the FSBI “NNIITO im. Ya. L. Tsivyana”commented on the development of the situation with coronavirus infection in the country.

According to the minister, a decrease in the number of cases over several weeks is a good prognostic indicator, however, the further development of the infectious process will depend on the measures that are being taken.
“You still need to observe the anti-epidemic regime, we have not completely neutralized this infection, it circulates. The most important thing is not just to wait for the third wave, but to avoid it, you need to implement a set of measures,” the minister said.
The complex of measures, until the population immunity is fully formed, includes vaccine prevention, social distancing and wearing masks.
“And we would like the citizens to understand the full measure of responsibility. Especially, we see that older people - over 60 years old - are most difficult to tolerate, and this category of people needs additional protection during this period and, of course, first of all, should receive vaccination,”explained Mikhail Murashko.
