Recently in Russia there has been a tendency towards a decrease in mortality among patients with cancer, said Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.
After all, we have reduced mortality from cancer. Let this not be as big a step as we would like, but in a pandemic year this is an important result, - quotes the words of Golikova RIA Novosti.
She pointed out that over the past three months, the production of medicines for cancer patients in Russia has grown threefold - from 680 packs a month to 2.6 thousand packs. Over the past three months, more than 9 million packages of such drugs have entered the market, Golikova specified.
Earlier, as NEWS.ru wrote, the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko announced a decrease in cancer mortality in the Russian Federation. The high load on the health care system in 2020 did not prevent the provision of timely assistance to cancer patients, the oncological service fulfilled its task in full, he assured.
The minister stressed that in 2020 the health care system received additional equipment and new drugs to fight cancer. He explained that a vertically integrated system was created last year. It allows you to track the patient's treatment at all stages of treatment. Its implementation is in pilot mode.
