The Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov checked the work of the new club "Active Longevity" in Korolev, which opened in February, according to the Instagram account of the press service of the governor and the government of the region. The Governor presented it to visitors, people of the older generation, tracksuits, a coffee machine, a basket of fruits, and also congratulated the fair sex on the upcoming International Women's Day. “I congratulate you on the upcoming holiday on March 8. We have not come to you empty-handed today. I would like to wish you good health and all the best,”said Vorobyov. This is the second Active Longevity club in Korolev. It is located on Dzerzhinsky Street in a separate building. There is an assembly hall and a sports hall, karaoke, a library, a cafe. Installed billiards, air hockey, tennis table, there is a gramophone for vinyl parties. The club is equipped with the most modern equipment, appliances and furniture, Internet access is provided and there is even a laundry. Older people are engaged here in computer literacy, yoga, breathing exercises, physical education, singing, dancing and creativity. “I am 87 years old, I have four grandchildren, besides, I am also a great-grandmother. It is with great pleasure that I visit the club - there is such a great attitude towards us, the elderly! I enjoy Nordic walking, breathing exercises, yoga. It is very healthy for your health. Many thanks to Andrei Yuryevich Vorobyov and everyone who implements the Active Longevity program in the Moscow region,”said local resident Valentina Gennadyevna Petrova. The Governor's Project "Active Longevity" was launched on October 1, 2019. Due to the pandemic, it was suspended from September 2020, classes were conducted online. They switched to full-time work again on January 22 - all 56 clubs in the region are now open. A mandatory requirement when attending indoor classes is a certificate of antibodies or vaccination against Covid-19. You do not need a certificate for outdoor activities. Nowadays there are 42 vaccination points at the Active Longevity clubs. Excursions resumed from March 2. This type of active recreation is in high demand among older residents. Last year, before the time limits were imposed, more than 900 inter-municipal bus excursions were organized with visits to museums, exhibitions, estates, historical sites and attractions. More than 7.8 thousand people became participants. You can become a participant in the project and sign up for classes by sending an application using the Social Services mobile application or through the portal
