The Uzbek authorities want to create working groups that will monitor the lives of students living with relatives or in rented housing. They will check what conditions they live in and what they do in their free time, Deputy Prime Minister Behzod Musayev said at a video conference at the Tashkent State Economic University.
At the meeting, employees of the university criticized the work with youth, who should not ignore such issues. It was also noted that students often lack basic knowledge when choosing a rented apartment.
Earlier, five bodies of young people were found in a private house in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent. The cause of death is acute poisoning with an unknown substance. The case was initiated under the article on violation of fire safety rules.
Several departments will be engaged in monitoring at once: the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The dorms will also check the living conditions and talk with students about the rules.
