However, there are ways to get rid of a hangover without resorting to alcohol, and Andrey Bobrovsky, Candidate of Medical Sciences, nutritionist, associate professor of the Faculty of Medicine of St. Petersburg State University, spoke about them in an interview with Sputnik radio.
So, according to the expert, pure water improves the state of health best of all. Drinks that replenish the deficiency of water-soluble vitamins and minerals will also be effective.
“Freshly squeezed juices are good, but, of course, with all the restrictions and contraindications associated with the gastrointestinal tract. Further - mineral water: take a table or medical-table, not very saturated with microelements. It is necessary to take either slightly carbonated, or open the lid and let it stand for 20-30 minutes so that the excess carbonation goes away and does not irritate the intestinal walls,”the doctor explained.
Not bad in the fight against a hangover, according to the expert, kefir and other fermented milk products help. The doctor also advised to come to life with the help of classic caffeine - coffee or tea, but in moderation.
But the traditional pickle, says Bobrovsky, does not need to be drunk in the morning. In addition, “because of the peculiarities of the effect on the body,” tonics should be abandoned.
