Two years ago it became known that the 49-year-old actress Anastasia Zavorotnyuk was diagnosed with glioblastoma of the brain. The costs of the treatment were covered by the artist's husband, figure skater Pyotr Chernyshev. Zavorotnyuk left for an operation in Germany, and then returned to Russia. Now Russian doctors are engaged in her health. Oncologist surgeon Andrey Pylev spoke about the reasons for this choice.
Recently there have been rumors that the actress has gotten better: for example, she can already walk in the courtyard of her house in the Moscow region. This is due to competent treatment, says Pylev. He stated that the main method of treating a disease like Zavorotnyuk's is the surgical stage. If possible, the tumor must be removed. “After that, radiation therapy is carried out against the background of drug therapy. After that - chemotherapy with several more cycles,”the doctor said.
At the same time, according to the specialist, glioblastoma is considered one of the most aggressive tumors, after which relapse is also possible. Pylev said that Russian medicine in the treatment of cancer is at a high level. In his opinion, there are many highly qualified doctors in Russia, Cosmopolitan reports.
“Apparently, relatives of Anastasia Zavorotnyuk know about this, so they treat her here,” the oncologist said. He added that treatment abroad is much more expensive, while Russians can receive medical care at the proper level at home.
Earlier, her daughter Anna told about the state of health of Zavorotnyuk. A subscriber in social networks asked her about this, apologizing in advance in case this offends the girl.
