President of the All-Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) Pyotr Ivanov said that he has a complete understanding of how to bring Russian athletics out of the crisis.

“It is premature to give any assessments, but I can say that I understand exactly what needs to be done. We have definitely decided on our future plans and understand how to implement them, where to move on. It is important. Because the first month of work was more devoted to the formation of the team, our plans and the analysis of the situation in which we are today”, - quotes Ivanova TASS.
He noted that ARAF will do everything in its power so that Russian neutral athletes can go to the next competitions of the winter season.
“But I will not give any promises now,” added the head of ARAF.
Ivanov was elected to the post of ARAF President on November 30.
Currently, due to the sanctions imposed on the ARAF, Russian athletes cannot compete in international competitions under their own flag, and the issuance of temporary permits to participate in competitions under a neutral flag has also been suspended.
Earlier it was reported that Lasitskene met with the new head of the ARAF.
