In Yekaterinburg, in the hospital for veterans, pressure chambers have been used to rehabilitate patients after COVID-19. The clinic's specialists spoke about this in an interview with URA.RU.

The equipment, which is designed for divers, helps patients who have been ill after COVID-19 to get their lungs in order, as well as saturate other body systems with oxygen.

"Decompression sickness in submariners is accompanied by hypoxia, so divers and divers use pressure chambers - sometimes they stand right on the ships," said the hospital's physiotherapist Yevgeny Derbyshev.

The doctor added that the hospital uses LKS-303 pressure chambers to treat patients. The pressure chambers are created on the basis of flow-decompression chambers for divers, only oxygen is used instead of air.

"Oxygen is supplied to the pressure chamber under increased pressure - this helps not only to restore the lungs after COVID pneumonia, but also to saturate other body systems with oxygen," Derbyshev added.

In conclusion, the doctor noted that "if somewhere there is a" block "in the passage of blood and oxygen transfer, we" bypass it "saturate the cell affected by pneumonia with oxygen."

Previously, the virologist of the N.F. Gamalei Alexander Butenko answered the question whether several mutations of the coronavirus can be in the body of one person.
