The head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, made a statement that the American authorities are using the cataclysms that arose in the world during the AIDS epidemic, as well as during the coronavirus pandemic, to solve their own political goals, making accusations of external enemies.

Naryshkin believes that at the moment, during the spread of coronavirus infection in the world, the US authorities, as well as their political allies, are trying to find "Moscow's malice" in what is happening. According to the head of intelligence, it was the same during the AIDS epidemic.
“Taking advantage of the unknown of the disease, fencing the data about it with a wall of secrecy, they tried to mislead the general public and the international medical community,” said Naryshkin.
Naryshkin recalled how America hinted that the unknown disease was associated with the developments underway in the USSR. Because of this, there was a threat not only to the health of citizens, but also to undermining the authority of the state.
In this regard, the leadership of the Soviet state ordered the scientific and technological revolution to "ensure that information is obtained" on the main research on this topic.
- Received reliable information about the research of the problem, the development of methods and drugs for the diagnosis of the disease. The USSR has risen to the forefront of the overall fight against AIDS, concluded Naryshkin.
Naryshkin wrote about this in an article for the National Defense magazine, RIA Novosti reports.
