Almost 13 thousand residents of Nizhny Novgorod have applied for coronavirus vaccination. This was announced by the governor Gleb Nikitin, the press service of the regional government reports.
Recall that an entry for vaccination against COVID-19 for everyone opened this week. You can leave a request on the website of the regional Ministry of Health. By February, the Nizhny Novgorod region will receive more than 150 thousand doses of the vaccine. Previously, only health workers, teachers, volunteers and social workers were vaccinated against a new infection.
As Nikitin noted, 11 thousand applications were received literally within a few hours.
President Vladimir Putin ordered to begin mass vaccination of Russians against coronavirus from next week. I want to emphasize that in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the work on preparation for vaccination of the population has already begun, - said Nikitin.
The governor also added that to date, about 3,000 residents of the region have already been immunized against the new coronavirus infection. Currently, 35 vaccination points are open. In the future, it is planned to create them in all districts of the region.
The Ministry of Health of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reminded that one should consult a doctor before vaccination.
Earlier it was reported that a batch of coronavirus vaccine of 6342 doses arrived in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
