The consequences of the postponed coronavirus for men were told in the Ministry of Health. The chief freelance specialist in obstetrics and gynecology of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Professor Leyla Adamyan, assessed the consequences of the transferred COVID-19 on the male body. According to her, to date there is no scientific evidence that the virus can cause the development of male infertility. To date, there is no evidence that coronavirus infection directly affects spermatogenesis, gametogenesis and the development of infertility, the expert said in an interview on the Russia-24 channel. Adamyan stressed that the world has been familiar with the new coronavirus for only nine months, so no final conclusions can be drawn yet. The representative of the Ministry of Health noted that women who have had COVID-19 and are going to become pregnant are not affected by the disease. Note that last summer, Elena Uvarova, the chief specialist-gynecologist of children and adolescence of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, said that men who had had coronavirus in the future could face infertility. Chinese scientists spoke about the same in February. Earlier, doctors spoke about the lifelong consequences of the postponed coronavirus. Read more news about conavirus here. Photo: Depositphotos
