Within 24 hours, the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor will receive a decoding of the genome of the pathogen of the coronavirus, which was made by any organization. This is stated in the government decree, which is published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts. "Organizations within 24 hours transmit data on the results of decoding the genome of the causative agent of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) to the federal budgetary institution of science, the Central Research Institute of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being via electronic communication channels or in another accessible way (as agreed) ", - says the draft document. As specified, there the information received will be summarized and sent to Rospotrebnadzor, which, based on these data, will make a decision on the implementation of preventive measures. Earlier, Russian virologists spoke about the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic in Russia. Virologist and infectious disease specialist Nikolai Malyshev asked Russians not to be afraid of a new wave of the pandemic, adding that vaccination will help protect citizens from a new outbreak of infection. The expert on statistics and modeling of the Center for Economic Research Aghasi Tavadyan, in turn, expressed the opinion that a new surge in the incidence may occur in the country in April. According to him, it will be possible to avoid a new wave of coronavirus if about 70% of the entire population of the country is vaccinated.
