Doctor of Medical Sciences, infectious disease doctor Nikolai Malyshev said when people who have had COVID-19 should be vaccinated. According to him, immediately after recovery, you do not need to be vaccinated against coronavirus. He announced this on Monday, January 25.

“We already know that a consensus has been reached, now they say that it is not necessary to vaccinate immediately after the disease, in six to nine months,” Malyshev explained in the press center of the Rossiya Segodnya MIA.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that it is not worth getting vaccinated against the virus for those who have had COVID-19. According to research, cases of re-infection with coronavirus are rare.

Golikova also stated that those who had recovered did not need to rush to be vaccinated with "Sputnik V" due to the characteristics of the organism that had survived the virus. She expressed this opinion during a briefing on the start of mass vaccination of the population.

The early days of mass vaccination against coronavirus were difficult, Golikova said. She said that 2,250 vaccination stations have been deployed in Russia. At the moment, 7.6 million doses of the drug have been produced in the country, of which 2.1 million have been delivered to the regions.

Recall that in Russia, mass vaccination started on January 18. It is voluntary and free of charge. Two domestic drugs for coronavirus are available to citizens - "Sputnik V" produced by the Center. Gamalei and EpiVacCorona, which was created in the Vector center.
