Muscovites who took part in tests of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine told RBC about the side effects and effectiveness of the domestic vaccination.
The volunteers reported fever, weakness, chest pain, and weight loss as side effects. However, the drug works - most, according to them, have developed antibodies.
Lawyer Oleg Eliseev said that in the first days after the vaccination, his temperature rose to 38.5 degrees and body aches began. However, then all the symptoms disappeared.
The leader of the women's trainings, Ekaterina Dearaya, said that after the first injection, the temperature rose to 37.5 degrees.
“Something similar to the pilomotor reflex appeared, this is what some call 'goose bumps.' I went to bed early, at night I felt average sweating, and in the morning everything is fine, as if nothing had happened,”she said.
According to media manager Andrei Vasilenko, it took him two weeks to recover from the vaccination. Soon after the injection, the temperature rose to 40.2 degrees, there was a chill. Paracetamol did not help. After the second vaccination, the temperature was kept for about 8 days, then it fluctuated between 37 and 37.6 degrees.
“There were heart problems, tachycardia, I was dealing with this. I had a high C-reactive protein after vaccination, which is a marker for inflammatory reactions,”said the man.
On his Facebook page, he noted that doctors diagnosed him with heart problems, which, according to him, he did not have before the vaccination. However, antibodies developed, and, as he noted, "the vaccine worked - that's a fact."
Other side effects of the vaccine include headaches and mild nausea.
Test participant Vera Vasilyeva said that on the day after the vaccination she had a headache, then the chest, lower back and, as she put it, "gynecology" fell ill. The muscles of my legs were twisting at night.
There was also a weakness and a feeling of temperature, although in fact it was 36.6 degrees. From the funny - against the background of this adrenaline rush and efficiency ", - she said.
After 12 hours, the symptoms disappeared, after another week there was an aversion to alcohol. After the second injection, her arm hurt, and for another three days she felt weak, the woman added.
