The habit of getting sleep during the weekend is fraught with disruption and health problems. The head of the Sleep Medicine Center of the Moscow State University told about how to compensate for the lack of sleep at work. Lomonosov Alexander Kalinkin. Kalinkin recalled that an adult should sleep from 7 to 9 hours a day. With this, the minimum number of hours of sleep, which experts advise, is six, the maximum is ten. According to Kalinkin, it is necessary to adhere to this norm on weekends, otherwise the "sleep pressure" in the evening decreases, and on the night from Sunday to Monday it becomes more difficult to fall asleep. According to the expert, this is a vicious circle that leads to lack of sleep. The somnologist on Radio 1 stressed that one should not wake up too late, even on weekends. At the same time, the daytime sleep should not be longer than 30 minutes. Kalinkin noted that the quality of sleep can deteriorate due to snoring and breathing disorders. This can lead to "pathological daytime sleepiness", for which treatment it is necessary to see a doctor. The somnologist added that the optimal time to start a night's sleep is from 22:00 to 24:00.
