Compliance with simple safety measures can save many lives.

At the moment, there is an increase in the incidence of coronavirus in Russia. Every day, doctors identify more than 16 thousand new cases of infection. In the Primorsky Territory alone, more than 14 thousand cases of coronavirus have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic, reports KONKURENT.RU.

However, despite reports of the danger of COVID-19, there are still people who do not believe in the mortal danger of this virus and its insidiousness. Those who themselves suffered the disease or observed the course of the coronavirus in their loved ones spoke about why you should not be careless about protective measures.

Kirill Stolyarov, a 29-year-old resident of Vladivostok. I transferred the coronavirus back in the summer of 2020.

“I got sick with coronavirus in July. I felt weak at work in the morning. Then I did not attach much importance to this. However, closer to lunchtime, she began to break out in sweat and itch in my nose. I considered this to be signs of an allergy, since I am allergic.

But in the evening malaise began, the temperature rose to 38.8, pain appeared in the eyes. The fever lasted exactly one day.

I want to note that the coronavirus is terrible in that it is very difficult to distinguish it from influenza or SARS. The symptoms are very similar.

The most frightening thing was the disappearance of the sense of smell. This happened a day after the temperature dropped. The smells are gone! Even the vinegar didn't smell. Only painful or thrilling sensations from inhalation. After the loss of smell, the sensations of taste also disappeared. I felt only bitter (when I drank the pills). Food, juice, tea, water, bitter coffee - absolutely tasteless !!!! Water is liquid. Food is paper. Garlic and hot peppers only caused mouth pain.

Two months have passed, and the sense of smell and taste (to the extent that they were before the illness) have not recovered.

I want to say to everyone that this disease is dangerous because you can feel, as always, good, but at the same time be contagious. The incubation period is about two weeks - who else can you infect during this period before you feel sick? Mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, children, neighbors, friends. Nobody knows how this infection will proceed.

It should be remembered that there is no cure for coronavirus yet.

In my case, I was very lucky. Judging by the statistics, the disease is severe in patients with chronic lung diseases. I am asthmatic and I know what it means to choke. It was scary.

With regard to restrictions, I want to say that any measures are meaningless if they are not followed! The fact that my colleagues at work did not get infected from me, I do not consider it luck. All my colleagues and I follow security measures. Wearing masks and using an antiseptic is a must! You may not believe in the danger of the virus, in restrictive measures, but it is imperative to observe precautions! It's not that hard."

Irina Orlova, wife of a Vladivostok resident who recently had a coronavirus:

“My husband got sick two weeks ago. Most of all, we were frightened by a sharp loss of smell and a sharp rise in temperature.

When you are sick with coronavirus, it immediately becomes clear that this is it: either intuition, or really it cannot be compared with the flu and SARS. In general, the sensations are different.

Therefore, I believe that it is simply necessary to comply with restrictive measures. This is not a joke, we have one health, it is with us for life, and it must be protected.

Now we avoid visiting public places as much as possible, we observe all precautions, and masks, disposable gloves, antiseptic wipes and a sanitizing liquid have settled in my purse."

Recall that in the Primorsky Territory there is a high alert mode. Visiting any public places is possible only with the use of a mask and respecting social distance.
