Perm nutritionist Anastasia Chernykh dispelled the most popular myths about weight loss. Her words were published on the website progorod59.ru.
Chernykh believes that the benefits of fasting in the fight against obesity is one of the main misconceptions. Avoiding food completely is a therapeutic strategy for weight loss, but it is not suitable for everyone and can be harmful at the initial stage of losing weight.
Blacks are allowed to eat after 6:00 pm, contrary to popular myth about the dangers of late meals. The main thing is that dinner consists of easily digestible protein, for example, fish. Also, with a diet, it is allowed to eat sweet foods in moderation, for example, a slice of dark chocolate or marshmallows. “Sweets should not be your first meal; sweets are also best consumed in the morning,” the expert specifies.
Low-fat foods, despite a popular misconception, do not contribute to weight loss, since they often contain starch and sugar. Chernykh reminds that sugar is also found in bread, and advises to study the composition of the goods in the store.
Another weight loss myth - potatoes and pasta harm the figure. The dietitian believes that these meals will not interfere with weight loss if consumed in small portions.
“The main thing is not to forget the side dishes in the form of vegetables for such dishes,” she added.
