Briton Leon Bowes, who was dying of coronavirus, asked his family not to put him into a coma. The man assured his relatives that in this case he would no longer wake up.
Bowes, 40, and his 38-year-old common-law wife Nicola Jennison were quarantined in early November 2020, The Daily Mail reports.
Infection with coronavirus was unexpected for a man - he never had any health problems. When his condition worsened, Bose was hospitalized. He was hooked up to a ventilator. So he spent the next four weeks in intensive care. Doctors diagnosed him with pneumonia twice. When Bose's kidneys began to fail, doctors estimated his chance of survival as 1%.
His last words addressed to me were: "Don't put me to sleep, I won't wake up." It was so heartbreaking, Jennison remembered.
In whom Bose was introduced. The man died without regaining consciousness.
He never smoked, did not drink, never went out, was always so careful, but now he is gone, - the woman says.
