Doctor of Biological Sciences Alexei Agranovsky spoke about the meaning of being vaccinated with two coronavirus vaccines at once, reports Ura.ru.
"If a person, for some reason, did not deliver the second dose of Sputnik V, then he can supply another vaccine," the scientist commented.
In his opinion, the drug "EpiVacCorona" can act in this capacity. Agranovsky also noted that it is possible to be vaccinated a second time with "Sputnik V", even if the recommended interval between doses is slightly violated. At the same time, he stressed that it is still better not to experiment with vaccinations and follow the recommended vaccination regimen.
Earlier it became known that by March the British strain of COVID-19 may become the most common in Russia. This opinion was expressed by biologist Ancha Baranova. According to her, five minutes of communication with an infected person may be enough for infection with the British strain. In turn, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova insists that now this strain does not pose a threat to Russia.
Vaccination against coronavirus in Russia began on December 5, 2020 with doctors and teachers. Mass vaccination started on January 18th. Vaccination is done mainly with the two-component drug "Sputnik V"
