Being in sterile conditions is contrary to the principles of the formation of the human immune system. Therapist, immunologist Irina Yartseva told Zvezda about this in a commentary. As the doctor explained, the basis of the immune system is the response to contact with viruses and bacteria.
“The more a person contacts, the more his immune defense is formed. In general, the human immune system on planet Earth was formed precisely as a result of interaction with external and internal factors, viruses, bacteria, organisms that live both outside and inside a person,”the doctor explained.
Yartseva emphasized that under sterile conditions the immune system does not work, since there is no need to activate it.
“If you give birth to a child in super sterile conditions, keep him there for a while, then as soon as he comes into contact with the outside world, he can die from a banal touch to any surface, because he simply cannot withstand that amount of bacteria that are on any subject,”said the therapist.
She added that in accordance with the intention of nature, the child at the moment of birth passes through the birth canal of the mother, where it is infected with some bacteria. This triggers the newborn's immune system. Later, starting to crawl on the floor, the child finds himself in a natural environment for him. At the same time, the floor should be reasonably clean, and not sterile, the doctor said.
