A massive campaign to vaccinate the population against coronavirus infection began on Wednesday in Malaysia. As reported by CNN TV channel, the Prime Minister of the country

Muhiddin Yassin
became the first to use the vaccine.
At the moment, doctors are using a drug from a consortium of companies Pfizer (Pfizer) and BioNTech (Biontech), the first batch of which arrived in Malaysia on February 21. The first delivery consisted of 312.3 thousand doses. Another 182 thousand doses are to be delivered on Wednesday, the channel said.
The vaccination campaign in Malaysia will take place in three phases. In February and March, health workers and those who are forced to contact a large number of people at work will be able to take advantage of the vaccine. During the second stage, from April to August, senior citizens and those who are at high risk of infection will be able to get vaccinated. From May this year to February next year, all other Malaysians who have turned 18 years old will be able to use the vaccine.
