Russians with high blood pressure should definitely call an ambulance if, after taking emergency medications, the indications do not return to normal. Such a reason was named by the head of the first cardiology department of the Hospital for War Veterans 2 Sergei Ivanov, reports "Moscow Says".

Ivanov explained that a situation like this may require quick intervention and more aggressive therapy to lower the pressure.

The specialist warned that doctors also need to be urgently called for pain in the heart, if the symptoms did not go away within 10-15 minutes after taking the medication. He explained that this could be a suspicion of a myocardial infarction, and the patient's health could deteriorate greatly if he waited an extra 30 minutes.

Earlier it was reported that headache can directly threaten health. According to neurologist and osteopath Alexander Evdokimov, this condition may indicate a hypertensive crisis - a sharp jump in blood pressure. In order not to miss it, you need to monitor your heartbeat, sweating and redness in the eyes, as well as constantly measure your blood pressure. Among the complications of a hypertensive crisis are stroke and heart attack.
